Artem Chigvintsev Responds to Nikki Garcia’s Claims

Garcia says Artem Chigvintsev reacted angrily, accusing her of making their child a “picky eater” and allegedly shouting over her signals. This incident, which initially appeared to be unimportant, quickly escalated into a heated altercation. To prevent her son from getting worse, Garcia remembers trying to defuse the situation by collecting Matteo’s stuff and leaving the room in a composed manner.

Chigvintsev, who provides photos as proof of the injuries he claims Garcia caused during the altercation, insists he tried to protect Matteo from the conflict and that he was the one who called 911 to defuse the situation. He claims that after this heated confrontation, Garcia threatened his career by telling him that he had “ruined” it.

Former WWE star Garcia claims that Artem Chigvintsev’s fury has previously veered into a dangerous zone. She remembers another incident in 2023 where he allegedly physically restrained her to keep her from seeing Matteo. She also implies that Chigvintsev’s anger had been building since she found out he wouldn’t be returning to the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, resulting in regular outbursts that were beginning to alarm her for their son’s safety.

Garcia filed for divorce after the Aug. 29 incident, citing her concern for her son’s safety. “Nikki’s number one priority has always been her son’s wellbeing,” her agent said, requesting privacy at this trying time.

The Release and Legal Reprieve of Chigvintsev

On August 29, Artem Chigvintsev was taken into custody on felony domestic abuse allegations; however, he was released on bond the same day. Prosecutors later refused to file charges, stating that there was not enough evidence to convict. After this, Chigvintsev was relieved and eager to go on, saying he would only be thinking about his son.

Although each party has requested anonymity, their remarks allude to a volatile and distressing relationship dynamic.
